Hey all,
I’ll be taking paternity leave sometime in the next few weeks but have several late stage deals in negotiation or procurement. What do folks typically do in these situations? I plan to continue to progress them but not build new pipe though that in and of itself seems daunting.
Anyone have thoughts?

I have found you need to build contingency plans within the team to ensure you are ready for all kinds of scenarios. Not just parental leave. I’d recommend working with your team’s leader to have back-up plans in place for really anyone getting compromised at any point (sickness, accidents, etc etc)
Really just the more the team communicates along the way, the more collaboration will be possible, and the more likely you’ll be able to step away and hand off some stuff when parental leave comes up.
Being ready is the key.
